yesterday i havent talked to a bunch of these girls at a camp in forever. they all go through something different. so i just simplely asked them how they were and they vent to me. later i we just made jokes and stuff so i thought it was ok for this..i could have done better.

This week has been really eye opening. Some of the challenges were really difficult, like for me taking a picture without makeup was really hard to do. But I think I learned a lot. The entire week, my boyfriend treated me just as he normally would, showering me with compliments. I would just sit there and ask to myself “Even without makeup?”

You don’t need makeup to be beautiful. I don’t need to put on makeup just because I’m going to the store or when I’m going to my boyfriend’s house to do homework or something. I am excited to wear makeup again, but this time as a form of self expression, not as a mask.

How did you all go?

So, Natural Beauty Week is officially over. I just send out the certificates for those who gave me their email address. However, I will be doing more Natural Beauty Weeks in the future, so I’d really appreciate it if you continued following this blog.

How did you with Natural Beauty Week? Were you able to be natural the whole 7 days? Did you get anything out of it? Do you have an idea on how to improve it? Sorry about all the questions, I would just love if I got some feedback (good or bad) because I want to make next time so much bigger and better! I also really want you to get as much out of it as you can. Ideas I have so far are selling products (bands + t-shirts), a competition throughout the week, choosing organisers from each state/country, try to get a celebrity involved and more! So please reply or message me with your thoughts!

I got on here and was scrolling through and saw everyone's pictures, I honestly kind of thought (and I am ashamed to admit it) that most people would be a mess (which is kind of how I feel when I don't fix my hair and all that) but everyone was seriously beautiful, honestly. I was blown away by how every single person was glowing. I didn't know about the project until today, but I will definitly have my own natural beauty days and I will participate next time!

Today’s challenge was to go 24 hours without looking into a mirror. However, I decided to spice it up a little bit. If I did catch myself looking in the mirror, I would name something positive that I saw. I think it went pretty well. I’ve never really been that mirror obsessed in the first place. (:

As much as this week made me miserable, I didn’t act on any of those feelings, so that makes it all worth it. Finding new ways to cope with my insecurities :) And the best part of all is being able to rub my eyes without ending up with smears across my face.

So throughout the week, i’ve found some of the challenges quite hard and others okay. I’m not saying i’ll be able to go to school with curly hair and no makeup on, or not compare myself to people because for me that’s just not possible, especially in such a short space of time. But over the week, i’ve learnt that i don’t need (as much) makeup, so when school starts i’ll be wearing less, and if i go to the shop or somewhere for 10 minutes, i won’t be wearing it anymore.

Rather than looking at a situation in a negative ‘i wish’ state of mind, i’ll start to think ‘i can be like that’ or ‘i dont need to be like that’. Mainly when it comes to looking at other girls and wanting to be like that. I’m going to start changing my perspective.

So overall, this week’s been worth it, no matter how much i’ve wanted to cry or looked a mess. Thank you and well done to everyone who did it, you’re all amazing + beautiful, aw xx

Hey! I've been participated in natural beauty week all weeka nd I'm reall proud of myself. I haven't worn any make up (and I don't usually wear much any) and I just curled my hair by plaiting it while it was wet! I'm so happy and I think the whole consept is great. You should defo do it more often! Xx

Today I looked in the mirror a few times but I didn’t mean to. As i was looking i remembered the challenge and was like sh*t. but I tried my hardest not to look. Excited for day 7! i will post a picture in a few minutes but I’ll cover the screen so i don’t see myself in the reflection. :)
